Hi! I'm Missy Chimovitz,
the Fifty Foot Girl.*
I am an illustrator, designer and doodler. In fact, I've never met a creative medium I didn't like, and I've tried a lot of them: photography, puppetry, animation, printmaking, mural painting, and even stuffed-animal making. (I am a lousy knitter, however.)
I also design logos and build websites with my husband, Alden Karr, over at Antigravity Studios. In 2008, we moved from New York City to a tiny fishing village in Yucatán, Mexico, where we lived for eight years. Then in 2016, feeling restless and adventurous yet again, we picked up and moved to Lisbon, Portugal, where we are happily indulging our love of pasteis de nata and red wine. We are perpetually at the mercy of our overlord, a 16-year old Jack Russell terrier named Roosevelt.
Please drop me a line here for any freelance inquiries, or just say hi!
*Someday over a glass of wine, I'll tell you how I became the Fifty Foot Girl.
